Arsenal and Man United interest in Yannick Carrasco confirmed – Mirror Online – Mirror Online
Arsenal and Manchester United have both had discussions about Belgium international winger Yannick Carrasco and a possible move this month.
Arsenal are only able to land players on loan with Unai Emery this week admitting that he has no money for new signings.
United meanwhile are continuing to place greater emphasis on their need for defensive reinforcements.
But according to the player’s wife, Noemie Happart, the pair are both keen on bringing in the 25-year-old this month.
Carrasco is currently plying his trade in China with Dalian Yifang, but is unhappy in the Far East.
Carrasco is currently back in Belgium, ahead of a training camp in Spain, and his wife has told Belgian TV that they are both very open to interest from the Premier League.
“There are a lot of things going on, he has been called by a lot of clubs,” she told RTBF on Saturday.
“A lot of clubs are interested, nothing concrete, nothing has been signed yet.”
Asked about reports linking the ex-Atletico Madrid winger with United and Arsenal, she added: “Yes, they are very interested. I do not hide it, but nothing is signed.”
She also added that she is keen to return to Europe “to be closer to friends and family”.
Arsenal are continuing to talk to Barcelona over a possible transfer to the Emirates for Denis Suarez.
However, with the Catalans playing hardball, could they switch target ans seek Carrasco on a possible loan?
