Man Utd fans hijack transfer announcement to send message to Old Trafford chiefs – Mirror Online
Manchester United fans have called on Ed Woodward to bring in some new faces this month.
United have won all five of their matches under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but still face an uphill battle to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
They have been linked with a raft of new faces although it appears United could be in for a quiet end to the month.
The Red Devils made a transfer announcement on Friday morning but it wasn’t the one fans had been calling for.
Youngster Ethan Hamilton will continue his development and spend the rest of the season on loan at Rochdale.
But United fans wanted an announcement about a new arrival – namely Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Napoli defender is at the top of United’s list of targets to improve a faltering backline.
They face a struggle to land him though with the Italian club demanding around £90million.
Real Madrid have also entered the race for Koulibaly but that hasn’t stopped United fans sending a message to Ed Woodward and his transfer chiefs.
