Maruti S-Cross Prices Hiked By Rs. 3,000, Ciaz Prices By Rs. 5000 – GaadiWaadi.com

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross’ prices have been hiked by Rs. 3,000 while the Ciaz’s top-end Zeta and Alpha diesel variants see increase of Rs. 5,000

Maruti Suzuki has announced price increase across the board and it involves the cars from Nexa premium dealerships. The largest automaker in the country sells S-Cross, Baleno, Ignis and Ciaz at its Nexa showrooms. The Baleno’s Sigma and Alpha variants have seen price hike of Rs. 3,500 while the Delta and Zeta grades cost Rs. 6,000 dearer.

On the other hand, the S-Cross sold in four variants has witnessed a price increase of Rs. 3,000 in the Zeta and Alpha variants while the entry-level Sigma and Delta carry on with the same pricing of Rs. 8.85 lakh and Rs. 9.97 lakh respectively. The Zeta’s price stands at Rs. 10.48 lakh and Rs. 11.48 lakh for Alpha following price hike (all prices ex-showroom, New Delhi).

It is important to note that the Ignis urban hatchback, most affordable model retailed from Nexa, does not get impacted by the yearly price hike. Maruti Suzuki introduced the facelifted Ciaz in August 2018 with several exterior and interior changes along with the inclusion of a brand new 1.5-litre SHVS petrol engine replacing the 1.4-litre unit.

The midsize sedan’s prices have also been increased but only by a small margin. The Ciaz Delta and Zeta petrol variants, along with Zeta and Alpha automatic petrol versions see price increase of Rs. 1,000 each. The noticeable price bump has been made on the Zeta and Alpha diesel variants by Rs. 5,000. They now cost Rs. 10.62 lakh and Rs. 11.02 lakh respectively (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Prices of all other variants of the Ciaz remain unchanged. Automobile manufacturers are known to kick off any new calendar year with price hike due to various economical reasons. Along with Maruti Suzuki, many other mainstream manufacturers had already announced price increase for 2019. Within Maruti Suzuki’s range, the Swift and Dzire have also endured nearly Rs. 9,000 price hike.

Maruti Suzuki’s first new launch of the year will take place on January 23 as the Wagon R is receiving a thorough makeover. The new-gen Wagon R comes with heavily revised cosmetic changes and the interior has been updated with modern in-car technologies to firmly rival the recently launched Hyundai Santro.
